Western Sun Foundation (WSF) made its public debut at the Andrew J Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, OH over December 30th and 31st, 2022 as part of our NYE Give Back Campaign benefitting Peaslee Neighborhood Center, located less than 2 miles from the venue.
This fundraising, awareness and visibility campaign launched on Giving Tuesday and ended after the Goose NYE run. During this time, we were grateful to be able to work with some of the staff from Peaslee and use our platform to highlight their organization, the incredible work they do and programs such as their Sliding Scale Piano Program, Girls Writing Circles and more.
There were plenty of ways to get involved and our Goose Community did just that!
Over the two night NYE run in Cincinnati, WSF had a group of amazing volunteers spreading the word about WSF and the campaigns as part of the “WSF Street Team”. We also had a table set up in the concourse and had the opportunity to meet and talk with so many incredible fans and community members.

The energy and desire to “give-back” was palpable! Fans donated directly and were automatically entered in a drawing to win prizes including Eggy Tickets, an Abby Fox Photo Canvas Print, Fan Artist Prizes from Knitting by Darian, Orion Jewelry Design, Sound Wave Design Co, Phandesignz or a Goose NYE Foil Poster. Other donors contributed through our Road to NYE Auction by bidding on Goosemas Memorabilia, a signed NYE Poster or tickets to any 2023 Goose show!
In total, as a community we were able to raise $3840 for Peaslee Neighborhood Center!
We cannot thank this community, the fans, small businesses, artists, Goose - band and crew, 11E1even Management and the venue staff for all of the support and assistance! And of course, a huge thank you to our beneficiary, Peaslee Neighborhood Center, for working with us on this first campaign! It was an absolute honor and privilege to highlight, support and give back to your incredible organization!
The energy, passion and desire to give back has always been present in this community, Western Sun Foundation is just the vessel to help transform that energy into action and positive initiatives. And we are just getting started!
Western Sun Foundation is an all volunteer-run 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that, through fundraising activities, provides charitable support to small-mid sized nonprofits in the communities Goose fans travel through. Donations made directly to Western Sun Foundation helps defray the costs involved with running a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization such as; insurance coverage, registration, incorporation fees and hired professional fees. Donations are also allocated towards our organization’s overhead costs for things like fundraising materials, shipping, website development, hosting and platform fees. Donations made directly to the organization are put back into running fundraising events, special projects like GooseCommunity.com and our Charitable Giving Program.
